DevSpec uses a credit-based pricing model. Each subscription contributes credits to your organisation's shared credit pool. All features are available at all tiers with no feature gating. The difference between tiers is scale (users, storage) and whether AI credits are managed or bring-your-own-key.

Pricing Plans

DevSpec offers personal and organization subscriptions with monthly and annual billing options.

Personal

• $29.99/month or $299/year (save ~17% with annual billing).
• 1,500 AI credits per month included.
• Full access to all features — no feature gating at any tier.

Organization

• Tiered pricing from 1 to 249 seats.
• Volume discounts of 17–33% depending on seat count.
• Shared credit pool across all organization members.

All features are available at every tier. The difference is scale — number of users and credit volume.

Credit Packs

One-time credit purchases that never expire. Subscription credits roll over permanently — unused credits accumulate across billing cycles.

• Starter — $9.99 for 400 credits.
• Standard — $24 for 1,000 credits.
• Pro — $49 for 2,000 credits (best value per credit).

Organization packs

• Team Starter — $99 for 5,000 credits.
• Team Standard — $249 for 15,000 credits.
• Team Pro — $749 for 50,000 credits.

Free Trial

Every new account starts with a 14-day free trial with full access to all features.

• 14-day duration with no feature restrictions.
• 1,500 credits included to explore every capability.
• Credit card required upfront — you are not charged during the trial period.
• Full access to AI sessions, code indexing, voice, and all integrations.
• Cancel any time before the trial ends to avoid being charged.

After the trial ends, your subscription automatically begins at the plan you selected during sign-up. Cancel before day 14 to avoid charges.

Credit Usage

Credits are consumed by various operations across the platform. The usage dashboard breaks down consumption by category, project, and user.

• AI session messages — each message exchange with the AI consumes credits.
• Knowledge capture — extracting decisions, conventions, and patterns from sessions.
• Code indexing — parsing and categorising repository files.
• Document indexing — processing uploaded documents and resources.
• Web searches — AI-initiated web lookups during sessions.
• Text-to-speech — generating spoken audio from AI responses.
• Speech-to-text — transcribing voice input during sessions.

Transaction History

Track every credit transaction from the Transactions page in Billing settings.

• Paginated transaction list with date, type, amount, and running balance.
• Filter by transaction type and date range to find specific entries.
• 8 transaction types: Usage, Subscription Grant, Rollover, Purchase, Refund, Promo, Adjustment, and Trial Grant.

Payment Methods

Manage payment methods for subscriptions and credit pack purchases.

• All payment processing is powered by Stripe — industry-standard security.
• Add, update, or remove credit and debit cards from the Billing settings page.
• Set a default payment method for automatic subscription renewals.

DevSpec never stores your card details. All payment information is held securely by Stripe.
